Someone Found A Random Park In The U.K. That Is Full Of Nightmare Fuel

I don't remember the park that I played at as a kid, but I do remember all the imaginary adventures I had while I was there. A good park can be simple and it'll still allow a kid's imagination to flourish.
Some parks, though, try a little too hard to get kid's attention. Check out these pictures one Redditorfound from a park in the U.K. where the planners basically thought, "Kids like Shrek right? Let's make a really mangled-looking sculpture of Shrek that inspires nightmares instead of imagination."
It's awfully terrifying. Take a look.

This kind of looks like Donkey, Eddie Murphy's character from the beloved Shrek movies. You'd think a kid might be into it, right?

Keep in mind, though, that this is the statue from a child's perspective. It may look like a cartoon to you, but to a kid, it actually looks like a monster that feasts on happiness.

Hey! It's our old buddy Shrek!

Shrek has done some stuff, kids. Do not look at him in the eyes and ask what happened to the people of Duloc.

There are other similarly shoddy statues that enchant the park. This Bart Simpson looks like he licked a little too many poisonous toads.

Intellectual property infringement never looked so terrifying.

And..uh...whatever this this thing is, that probably holds the souls of thousands of children.

Maybe the moral of the story is that we should follow all copyright laws. Instead of trying to recreate characters from children's movies, playgrounds and parks should create their own (creepy) characters. That way, kids don't have to play with the demon versions of their heroes.
